Customer Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little rack We had a typical coat tree inside our front door and it was always tipping over. We purchased this rack and were greatly pleased. Many of the reviews say it's not steady. I find that the opposite to be true. We have 8+ coats on it at any time, we put or snow boots on the bottom rack and then bought a mitten basket for the 2nd shoe rack. We hang dry cleaning from the bar. And have never had it tip over. Because we have it up against a 2nd entry door (which we never use) we don't even have it mounted to the wall like instructed. In 5 years it's never tipped over. I would highly recommend this product. We even purchased a 2nd unit for inside our garage door.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for a small entry and well worth the money After reading all of the reviews I purchased this entry way bench and I am completely satisfied with it! The directions for putting it together were not difficult to follow but if I had put the seat on last like they suggested it would have been difficult to complete. My only suggestion would be for the manufacturer to change the steps for putting it together to include putting the seat together first. I also have to add having the company include the anchor bolts was a stroke of genius and very much appreciated, thank you. I am so very pleased with the bench and it looks amazing!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Entry Bench I purchased this bench right away because the first time it was available I hedged too long and it became out of stock. I love this bench because at my senior age of 70, it was so easy to put together for the narrow space it fits perfect. I did put the composite seat together first, which has metal support underneath for strength. However, I use the seat for my computer case. Plenty of space for shoes. I secured the unit to the wall with the recommended attached bracket to prevent it from tipping over from heavier coats. I highly recommend this Entry Bench because you just cannot find another similar unit for this very low price. Believe me, I checked and that is why I lost out the first time around when this item became available. The quality is excellent for strength, limited size space, and price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect fit for small entryway We have a 5ft x 3.5ft foyer. We have never had a coat rack of any kind because we did not have enough room. We just had a small stool there which is not large enough to hold more than my husband's briefcase. But the small depth of 12" allows us to have this great rack now. I keep my purse and things that will be leaving the house on my next trip. I placed a boot tray under the bench so we will have a place for our sloppy winter shoes. I am thrilled that we have this bench now. It is not heavy duty so we will only hang two coats on it at one time. But we will still have room for everything else too. I could not be happier after 19 years without a place to put everything. This will keep my dining room table clutter free. The bench is not strong enough to sit on except for a small child, so buyer beware.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A little ingenuity for small spaces! I live in a small LA studio so space is important! Instead of in the entryway this item is PERFECT for my bedroom, getting my shoes off the floor, uncraming my closet a bit, and finally having a perfect spot for my purse at the end of the day. I strongly encourage securing the bench seat first, I had to realign some of the holes but it was no problem when I could see what I was doing. It is very secure and can hold a lot of weight. Coats hung on the second row hang low enough to lay on the bench, and push any coats hung up top to bow outward and look messy. I detached the second row of hooks and was still able to hang up everything due to the extra space. The unit is still secure without the second row and BONUS now I have extra coat hooks to hang in my entryway!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks like picure...hope it will hold winter coats Bought this as a gift for my son at his new apartment. Was a little worried when I saw the small box it came in. Looks just like the picture. Not sure how heavy of coats it will hold without falling over. There are two little screw hole tabs on the back that you can screw in to secure to the wall. But my son can not do that at his apartment. A homeower could and probably should.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Entryway Coat Rack First, I received my order within 2 days. It came with everything needed to assemble, and I assembled it myself, even though I'm a 68-year-old woman and not very handy. I did have to drill additional holes in the seat for the screws because they didn't quite line up and I would recommend screwing in the seat before assembling the top portions.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Value I wanted this as a sort of clothing valet for the master bedroom to hold our jeans we wanted to wear again or the clothes for our next workday more than an entry way thing per se and it is great. As other reviewers have noted I would not say many adults should sit on the bench part but I use it to hold handbags or folded clothes with shoes/slippers on the bottom racks as shown. As long as no one abuses it by jumping or shaking it I think it is a good value and I priced many that cost much more on other sites!! I did anchor it to the wall and it has really reduced bedroom clutter. No more pants draped on door nobs or throw pillows on the floor at bedtime!!
