Customer Reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Look Good I bought these to hang around my back patio. They are the size of a regular light bulb, which I liked. The "bulb" is clear plastic so it is unbreakable. The only downside I've encountered is that rain will get inside the bulb. I do not have a covered patio, but I think the sun would not charge them if they weren't exposed. The ones with rain (less than 1/4") still work and the water will evaporate out and mosquitoes cannot get inside to lay eggs, so it is definitely not so bad. But if you're worried just silicone the edge, that is what I plan to do to be on the safe side because I don't know if the rain will diminish the life of the bulbs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks so cute I have had these for a few weeks now and I love them. I read the reviews about water getting into them so I used a hot glue gun and sealed any possible easy water could get in. I used fishing line and hung them from the branches of a tree near my deck. They looked fantastic at night. It makes my patio a magical place to sit at night. They are dim enough that they add just enough light to sit and have a conversation but not attract bugs. I bought 2 sets to have 4 lights. They are VERY thin and on was broken on arrival. I found the piece in the box and got glued that as well. Now you can't tell. Handle with care. This didn't bother me much because the price was so good.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Only one problem... We absolutely LOVED these when we first got them. They are easy to hang, light up nicely, and hold their charge for quite a while. They looked great in the area and offered up enough accent light to actually be useful. Then it rained and the problems began. Unfortunately, these units are not water tight. they collect rain in the bulb. When the bulb becomes to heavy due to the added water weight, the glass separates from the solar housing and falls causing the glass to shatter if it happens to be above a hard surface such as a patio. The solar housing and lights continue to work after this but the light bulb look is lost and you have to clean up broken glass from an area that people are likely to go barefoot in. I hate giving them a bad review, but have to due to the danger issue involved. With a few modifications or used in a constantly dry environment they would be GREAT!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from SOLAR LIGHTS I've bought these twice now, and really like the appearance and light they throw but do not expect superior workmanship on these...that is why they are inexpensive. Two of the glass bulbs have fallen off luckily onto a soft bed and did not get broken, one from the previous shipment was inferior to start with and wouldn't charge. And when I mean fallen off...I was standing and looking at one and it literally just fell to the ground, the day had heated up and I think the glue just wouldn't hold. But like I said they do throw a great light and are very decorative.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Stars aglow I enjoy like the lights. Unfortunately, they are most fragile and one broke when it landed in the grass when attempting to put up. You need to use two hands to hold a bulb to have a good grip. I also had to glue the tops on three of the four as they were not attached. Additionally, I had to glue the trianular tops on three. There are no included chains so I used jute to hang. Val Lee of "val lee weblog"

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not happy Every one of these literally fell apart. The lightbulb would simply fall from the thingie on top. The only way we could correct the problem was to apply silicone to each and every bulb to ensure they would stay together.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cute concept and works well on patio I just got these so we will see how they last but so far they are really cute. they are an accent light not a full brightness see everything light. Hopefully they last, if so it would be a great deal for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So pretty in the trees! I love these lights! They make the backyard look like a fairyland! Did have to purchase some small black chains to hang them from the tree but they work great and look magical!
