"I purchased the wine and beer, stakeholders, and the beer holder broke right away-when I pushed the stake into the ground, the holder split apart. The wine holder is more sturdy with a metal rod for placing in the ground. Thank goodness I did not gift this item as I intended to make a summer basket for a friend."
"Purchased both the wine and beer holder as gifts for someone. Wine holder was good from a quality standpoint (haven't tested the 15 pound weight limit). Place a little wood glue so the unit can stay connected as one piece (versus 4). The beer holder however left something to be desired. Some of the product was not sanded completely leaving a furry look to the inside of the bottle rings. Additionally the bottle opener had rust on it (very low grade zinc). I had reached out to Lakeside to rectify and NO ONE contacted me back. So I've resolved to my 2 star review to express my concerns with the quality of this product. Since it was a gift (and no replacement in sight), I had to purchase replacement products from a local hardware store so I was comfortable giving it. Ultimately. . . you shouldn't need elbow grease and additional purchases to fix a new product in order to give it as a gift. In all honesty, the quality of lakeside products has continued to decrease and I'm on the verge (if not there already) with ceasing purchases with the company."
