"Put it together and tried it out - worked fine. Loved all its features. Took it to my grandson and after about 5 min he was holding the mic and I noticed a whiff of smoke close to himJenny. More smoke started out of the main head unit and my son grabbed it away from him, turned everything off. Sorry - maybe this was a fluke or this may not be a safe toy - use with caution."

"This playtoy was just okay or average. I bought it for the 4-year-old girl I babysit. She liked it, but I did not feel it magnified her voice much. There were flashing lights that worked, and I liked the fact it has two microphones. There were no directions on how to turn the lights off. I couldn't figure it out and had to wait until her mom came home to turn it off. If I recall, you twist or pull the middle part of the item to turn it off."
"Very disappointed. I wish I had read the reviews when I purchased. There was a time when LTD sold great quality products. I guess that is in the past. First of all, it came in a plain white box, unassembled, so I will have to explain to my 5 year old granddaughter what it is when she opens it. Some nice packaging would have gone a long way. Secondly, It looks cheaply made, the pieces have scuff marks on them. Almost looks used. I have not tested to see if it works. I'll update when I do that."

"Most unfortunately I bought this at full price but it was 9 bucks less when I was asked to leave a review and came back to the item page. Even at 20. 99 it is not worth the money. You have to raise your voice before the mic will project thru the “speaker,” so why not just sing loudly into a paper towel roll? Waste of money for sure. Not only that, but Lakeside went back to PayPal after I’d paid and took more money than I’d agreed to pay. It wasn’t a bank roll but the principle of it stinks. I have been a satisfied Lakeside customer for years but this whole exchange and the shoddy merchandise has sent me seeking other venues. Very disappointed."
